my weekend

I had a productive weekend scrappy-wise :-)

This was based on a PageMaps sketch, which I rotated. Pictures of my daughter at 1 yr old, picking at my sister's purse :-) I used some old paper on this one -- the striped paper is Arctic Frog (remember them?) and the gingham is some old $ store paper. Newer papers are Bo Bunny (the turquoise strip) and Belle BLVD (the flowers).

I just LOVE this "Love Me Do" line of papers from "My Mind's Eye" and I have a bunch of layouts done with it. I know this is an older line, but I picked up some extra sheets from Lovebug Scrapbooking just last month. These are just some random pictures of Luke when he was 8-9 months old.

Another layout with the "Love Me Do" line. Notice the little tag that says Love Me? I cut that from the strip of patterned paper on the bottom of these 12x12 sheets. Gotta use up every bit of paper :-) It also fit with Jules' challenge on Scrapbook Heaven. Did you know there's a GOING GREEN crop happening there all this month?

Here are a couple of birthday cards. I must say I'm kinda enjoying card-making more than ever lately! These are pretty simple looking.

UHU Glue Roller

So I got this free UHU Glue Roller in the mail this week. Thanks, Deanne, for mentioning their free offer :-)

They also sent some patterned paper. I decided to use up some of last year's fall pics. Here's my layout:

I found the glue roller to be wonderful - just the right size, and it felt comfortable in my hand. The glue went on a little wobbly at times, and I found I had to hold it nice a straight and then it was fine. Overall very pleased with it!
I'm not sure if the offer is still open or not, but here's where I got mine for FREE!

layouts from this week

I bought some Webster's Pages papers with my last order from Scrap My Memories. May just have to get some more! I used a mixture of product for this layout. I think the green check was something I had when I started WAY back when!

I used a PageMaps sketch for this layout and some of the wonderful Basic Grey Marrakech!

More of the Imaginisce Twitterpated. Don't tell me you don't have pics like this :-)

Scrappy News.... and a few layouts

Had some exciting news now for a while -- just getting around to sharing it :-)

I was accepted on the design team at Scrapbook Heaven for another 6-month term. AND... I am also the Event Team Coordinator-- very excited about that. I love planning and hosting events. Keep checking on the forum for our January event!!
I also was asked to be Guest Designer at Lovebug Scrapbooking. Super excited to be part of this team. Lovebug was THE first scrapbook forum I joined when I started scrapbooking. I love it there!

I love this photo of my oldest son!

These two really DO love each other (even though I just had to break up another little spat!) They're lost, and bored, when the other is missing.

A favorite pastime of my boys!

Layouts and Christmas projects

I've been busy working on layouts. Here are a few I have done:

I've also done some advent calendars. We're looking forward to December 1st! :-)
Stacey at Paper Popsicles showed us how to make this little project. My daughter helped me make it. So much fun! Of course, I did all the treat-filling. Can't wait for the little surprises all month!

This little one I found some ideas online. Didn't see a tutorial until I had it made. LOL! Anyway, it's not difficult to do. Google "matchbox advent" and you should be able to find lots of examples and tutorials.

challenge layouts

Worked on some challenge layouts this weekend. This one was for Deanne's "A Scrap Addict's Sketches".

I used a sketch by Lindsey Krauss (Sisterhood of Scrap - Sketch Saturday) for this next layout.

And finally, this layout was for our Monday Challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap.

Lots of layouts

I did quite a few layouts this past weekend -- some were for the Revive and Rejuvenate crop at Just Cre8, others were just for me :-)

I bought some Basic Grey "Urban Prairie" which I absolutely LOVE, as you can tell by five of my layouts above!!

Thanks for looking!
