Today...

Hosted by The Simple Woman
(FOR TODAY - July 21/08)

Outside My Window... the sun is shining. I hear birds chirping and can see my neighbor hanging clothes on her line.

I am thinking... what I can plan for today -- maybe a picnic on the beach. I challenged myself to have at least one picnic a week this smmer :-)

I am thankful for... family that can visit. My sister and her children are here. My two youngest children and her two oldest have so much fun together!

From the kitchen... nothing is happening. Only two of my children are awake yet and they are playing before breakfast.

I am wearing... jeans and grey t-shirt.

I am creating... good memories, I hope :-)

I am going... to get breakfast and then for a walk.

I am reading... Crimson Eve by Brandilyn Collins.

I am hoping... we can go somewhere this summer as a family. We need some time alone, I think.

I am hearing... my nephew coming down over the stairs. One more person awake in this busy household of eleven!

One of my favorite things... scrapbooking :-)

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: I need to bake bread, make some Molasses Buns and I have four cakes to decorate this weekend. Somewhere in there, we will be sending our two oldest boys off to Air Cadet camp.

Here is picture thought I am sharing..

My brother let me try our his Rebel with a macro lens. I love it! The thing I love about a macro lens is that it makes one notice the little details.

Daybook - June 2nd

(FOR TODAY - June 2/08)

Outside My Window... I can see the ambulance that has come for one of our tenants. This is the second time in a week.

I am thinking... I need to go to bed!

I am thankful for... online friends.

From the kitchen... I hear the dishwasher finishing its wash cycle.
I am wearing... jeans and grey t-shirt.

I am creating... a home for my family, a place where they can feel safe and loved.

I am going... to bed -- real soon!

I am reading... Terri Blackstock's Evidence of Mercy.

I am hoping... to lose some weight this month. I've been walking just about every day of last month and trying to cut out junk food. So far, no weight lost :-( Maybe I'm building muscle

I am hearing... the hum of my computer fan. Everything else is so quiet. Everyone is in bed except me.
One of my favorite things... is reading. I usually read each night before bed.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: finish the house-cleaning, finish up math with my children, go fishing with youngest son, bake bread and also some cookies....

Here is picture thought I am sharing..

DH always asks for a double cup when he gets a coffee from Tim Hortons. These are all the extras he has saved. The kids love to build towers with them :-)

My Daybook

(FOR TODAY - May 26/08)

Outside My Window... The sun is setting and the sky is a beautiful pink.

I am thinking... I soon want to curl up and read some of my book.

I am thankful for... my helpful children. They helped me strip wallpaper this morning and then we hauled dirt this afternoon. What a wonderful help they are!

From the kitchen... I can hear one of my boys getting a snack -- a bowl of fruit.

I am wearing... a white t-shirt and some black running pants.

I am creating... a scrapbook page of one of my sons when he was only 20 months old. He was such a sweet toddler!

I am going... to get a snack, probably some nachos and dip.

I am reading... a book that I got from the library.

I am hoping... that the weather will be nice tomorrow. I will be cleaning the boys' room in the morning. Cleaning seems to go better when the sun is shining :-)

I am hearing... my oldest son and two of his friends. They are sitting on our back deck, chatting.

Around the house... things are kind of untidy. When I am deep-cleaning one are, the rest of the house gets neglected.

One of my favorite things... is to scrapbook. I love putting my precious photos on pages so I can share them with others!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Finish moving the dirt from the front of the house to the back, clean the boys' room, clean the main bathroom, finish my two scrapbook layouts I'm working on, do some baking.

Here is picture thought I am sharing..

How can these seagulls poke around is so much dirt and garbage and still look SO white!!?!
